01 — The brief

A zine on the origins of house music, born in the underground clubs of New York and Chicago in the 1980s. It had to capture the energy of the music on paper.

02 — The idea

A layout that mirrors house music's repetitive, grid-like beat: clean Swiss type set against expressive graphics.

A loud, limited palette keeps every spread feeling like the same track, building as you turn the pages.
